We have been so lucky. We have worked with some beautiful, lovely brides and their bridal parties. It has been our pleasure to work with them and participate in the build up and excitement of their big days!!!
Most of our tiaras are one off - to spec tiaras which don't make it on to here.
Here are a few scenarios of where we have gone off the beaten track of designing and making tiaras.
- We had a Mother of the Groom outfit given to us - and told to 'bling' it up!! We were given feathers and added these to the shoes, handbag and matching fascinator to tie the whole outfit together. We painstakingly sewed hundreds and hundred of pearls onto the dress and matching jacket, then sewed more onto the shoes. A few carefully placed crystals and swarovski's and the whole outfit was fit for the occasion!
- We were given a tiara and asked to add pearls - since we normally use wire - and this called for superglue - this was a new challenge which resulted in very sticky hands, a few pearls down the bra, and a happy bride!!
- We were asked by the groom to create something that he could wear that tied in with what we were creating for the bride - as a surprise! We created him a crystal flower to wear as a buttonhole. It looked striking in his dark suit and the bride was able to keep it as a souvenir of their day!
- With 1 week before a wedding, we were asked to create 9 matching tiaras!!! There were a few achy fingers and shoulders in Luton that week!! All were finished in time for the day before so the bride wasn't worrying, and we were even invited to the reception!
